KEEP MOVIN'

Good Night, just finished some overdubs on a few songs, a Keef Richards’solo, some Kevin Shields’ bigsby chords, a few Xavier Boyerism and we’ve never been that close to finish our album. Tomorrow, while pedro’s mixing, I will spin some records under the name of Axe Riverboy in Lyon: (La Plateforme 4 quai Augagneur, 69003 LYON ) for the Pop O’Clock // Nuits Sonores party organized by Dandelyon.

The Boyz are back in t-t-town!

Bonjour, we spent another sunny day in our cellar, perfect if you’re not looking for that California tan… I finished the vocals and added various guitars on All Around. Sylvain performed on the organ, mederic played an arpeggio part…while Pedro continued cleaning and pre mixing the other songs. it’s 3 am and we’ve got a big day ahead ! bises X

ALMOST THERE

Yeah. I recorded one more vocal today, for a song called “All Around”. So, our next move/masterplan is/are:

-to start pre-mixing some songs and

-to finish the overdubs on the others.

Clever, innit?

I mean we’re getting closer to the end of the recording sessions for album#4…and it feels great.

The Percussion Marathon is done. Raf did a great job at the shakers, maracas, tambourines, bongos, claves & cowbells. I recorded the lead vocals for “Come On Now”. YEAAAAAHHH. 2 more to go!

OK. our label, Barclay, visited us at the studio today, they seemed pretty excited about the new versions. Which is good new for us.
We spent the day listening to rough versions of the songs, I wrote some lyrics, mederic recorded some guitars. Tomorrow is “percussion day”. Raf our live drummer will spend the whole day locked in the live room, playing various tambourines, shakers & other instruments from Ouganda. Respect!
