Tahiti 80 are individually known as Xavier Boyer, Médéric Gontier, Sylvain Marchand & Pedro Resende.
We're a French band based in Rouen, Normandy.
We've released 3 albums: "Puzzle", "Wallpaper For The Soul" & "Fosbury", and we're now recording our 4th LP at Tahitilab, our own recording studio.

HI,
so, we’re putting the final touches to our album…I re-sang a few lines, we added a few bells and whistles (organs mainly)…and tonite, I’ve just finished the lead and (numerous) BV’s (I can’t believe how many backing vocals I’ve recorded on this album). I’m HAPPY!
It will feature a unique telephone conversation between the great Timothy Keegan and myself with the help of Mederic (the human stand) & Robin the assistant turned engineer.

KEEP MOVIN'
Good Night, just finished some overdubs on a few songs, a Keef Richards’solo, some Kevin Shields’ bigsby chords, a few Xavier Boyerism and we’ve never been that close to finish our album. Tomorrow, while pedro’s mixing, I will spin some records under the name of Axe Riverboy in Lyon: (La Plateforme 4 quai Augagneur, 69003 LYON ) for the Pop O’Clock // Nuits Sonores party organized by Dandelyon.

The Boyz are back in t-t-town!
Bonjour, we spent another sunny day in our cellar, perfect if you’re not looking for that California tan… I finished the vocals and added various guitars on All Around. Sylvain performed on the organ, mederic played an arpeggio part…while Pedro continued cleaning and pre mixing the other songs. it’s 3 am and we’ve got a big day ahead ! bises XX: so I guess that for the lyrics, everything’s OK?

Yeah. I recorded one more vocal today, for a song called “All Around”. So, our next move/masterplan is/are:
-to start pre-mixing some songs and
-to finish the overdubs on the others.
Clever, innit?
I mean we’re getting closer to the end of the recording sessions for album#4…and it feels great.

The Percussion Marathon is done. Raf did a great job at the shakers, maracas, tambourines, bongos, claves & cowbells. I recorded the lead vocals for “Come On Now”. YEAAAAAHHH. 2 more to go!
